  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8 pancakes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup milk (or almond/coconut milk for lactose intolerance)
  • 1 egg (or flax egg for vegan option)
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (optional, xylitol-free)
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine whole wheat flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl, whisking thoroughly.
  2. Whisk together milk and egg in another bowl. If using, add the banana or peanut butter.
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until combined.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat, lightly greasing if necessary.
  5. Pour small amounts of batter onto the skillet, cooking until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Let the pancakes cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

Serve plain or with dog-friendly treats. Cut into smaller pieces for easy munching. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for about three months.
