Ingredients

- 2 cups strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 jalapeno, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 packet pectin
Instructions
- Combine the strawberries, jalapeno, sugar, and lemon juice in a large pot. Stir well and let sit for about 10 minutes.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
- Add the pectin and continue to boil for another 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly until the jam thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
- Seal and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or can it for longer storage.
Notes
For a thicker jam, let it boil a little longer before removing from heat. Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
